Volleyball Recap: Salt Lake Academy Comes Up Short

Salt Lake Academy was the 3-0 winner over American Prep WV when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Griffins fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Griffins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Salt Lake Academy started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 24-26, 26-24, 25-18, 15-12.

Salt Lake Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for American Prep WV, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Salt Lake Academy is set to face off against their familiar foe Wasatch Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, American Prep WV will square off against rival Vanguard Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
