Basketball Recap: Carlin Railroaders vs. McDermitt Bulldogs

Carlin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They had to suffer through a 60-14 loss at the hands of the McDermitt Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Railroaders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-32 back in January.

McDermitt's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dylan Palmer, who went 7 of 15 on his way to 18 points and six steals. Palmer has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Warrick Crutcher, who went 6 for 13 to rack up 14 points and seven assists.

Carlin's defeat dropped their record down to 3-21. As for McDermitt, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Carlin nor McDermitt have any future games scheduled.
