Baseball Recap: Providence Comes Up Short

Providence suffered their biggest defeat since April 12, 2024 on Thursday. They lost 8-2 to the San Marino Titans. The loss continues a trend for the Pioneers in their matchups with the Titans: they've now lost three in a row.

Nate Palmer made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Providence's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Providence wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 7-5 loss against Hoover on the 22nd. As for San Marino, they have also already played their next contest, a 9-1 victory against Flintridge Prep on the 21st.
