Ryle faced Highlands in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Raiders put the hurt on the Bluebirds with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Bluebirds: they've now won six in a row.

Ryle walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-22, 25-23.

Despite the loss, Highlands had strong showings from Ava Muzumdar, who had 12 assists and seven digs, and Audrey Sorrentino, who had 12 assists and eight digs. Muzumdar is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last nine games she's played.

Ryle's victory bumped their record up to 14-10. As for Highlands, their defeat ended a 14-match streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 14-3.

Coming up, Ryle will head out to face off against St. Henry at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Highlands, they will welcome Beechwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
