Recap: Bellwood-Antis Blue Devils vs. Huntingdon Bearcats
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Forest Hills, the Bellwood-Antis Blue Devils were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They walked away with a 60-49 win over Huntingdon. This was payback for Bellwood-Antis, who suffered a 42-38 loss the last time these two teams met.
Anthony Caracciolo continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 17 points along with two steals and two blocks. It was the first time this season that he posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Martin Fatzinger, who scored nine points along with two blocks.
Bellwood-Antis' win bumped their record up to 6-15. As for Huntingdon, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bellwood-Antis has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Philipsburg-Osceola at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th. Bellwood-Antis has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games. As for Huntingdon, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Penns Valley Area at 7:00 p.m. Penns Valley Area knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully Huntingdon likes a good challenge.
