Volleyball Recap: Kellam Starts Season with Win on the Road

Kellam had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the First Colonial Patriots 3-0. The victory was nothing new for the Knights as they're now sitting on 29 straight dating back to last season.

While Kellam won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 28-26, 25-16.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kellam will challenge Green Run at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for First Colonial, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Princess Anne at 4:00 p.m. on September 11.
