Volleyball Recap: Fitch Comes Up Short

Fitch came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the East Lyme Vikings, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-0 defeat on October 1st.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-10, 25-16.

East Lyme was led to victory by Jessica Feng and Jordyn Skinner. Feng had six digs and four aces, while Skinner had seven digs. Those four aces gave Feng a new career-high.

Fitch's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for East Lyme, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-1-1.

Fitch does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Lyme, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Norwich Free Academy on the 27th.
