After a string of five wins, West Ranch's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Granada Hills Charter Highlanders by a score of 3-2. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Highlanders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Ty Diaz made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Jonathan Hepp also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

West Ranch's loss dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Granada Hills Charter, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-13.

West Ranch has already played their next game, a 12-4 defeat against La Mirada on the 19th. As for Granada Hills Charter, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-0 victory against Palisades on the 19th.
