With a playoff game on the line, the Lemoore Tigers rose to the challenge on Friday. They managed a 20-14 win over Centennial. The win was familiar territory for Lemoore who now have three in a row.

One reason for the win was Lemoore's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. In that department, Dorian Davis was the leader with two sacks.

Lemoore pushed their record up to 10-3 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.0 points per game. As for Centennial, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.

Lemoore will head out on the road to face off against Central Valley Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Central Valley Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine matchups -- so hopefully Lemoore likes a good challenge. Centennial does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
