Football Recap: Bradford Comes Up Short

Bradford extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 12 on Friday, dropping them down to 0-8. They were dealt a 60-0 defeat at the hands of the Tri-Village Patriots. While losing is never fun, the Railroaders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 692nd, while the Patriots are ranked 280th).

As for Tri-Village, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.4 points on average this season.

Trey Sagester produced another solid performance throwing for 125 yards and four TDs while completing 88.9% of his passes, and also punching in one score on the ground. Griffin Richards was in the mix too, providing Tri-Village with two touchdowns.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Bradford will challenge rival National Trail at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Tri-Village is set to face off against their familiar foe Preble Shawnee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Patriots 7.4, the Arrows 12.9) so any points scored will be well earned.
