Basketball Recap: Lakewood Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lakewood can now relate to. They fell to the Columbia River Rapids 60-56. The Cougars have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Lakewood's defeat dropped their record down to 18-8. As for Columbia River, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

Lakewood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Columbia River, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Selah on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Selah comes in on five and Columbia River on three.
