Volleyball Recap: St. Michael Catholic Takes a Loss

If St. Michael Catholic was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Satsuma last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cardinals fell just short of the UMS-Wright Prep Bulldogs by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Cardinals in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost six in a row.

St. Michael Catholic actually scored more points across those five sets (106-104), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-20, 16-25, 26-24, 15-12.

St. Michael Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for UMS-Wright Prep, their win bumped their record up to 12-6.

Looking ahead, St. Michael Catholic will take on West Florida at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for UMS-Wright Prep, they will square off against Mobile Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
