Bricen Wright Turns in Season-Best Performance

On Friday, Chadron had to settle for second even though Bricen Wright put up the best numbers he has all season. Wright picked up 115 receiving yards and two touchdowns, good enough to also set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing a fumble and making ten total tackles.

Chadron moved to 7-1 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak. Wright and Chadron will be playing in front of their home fans against Sidney at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Sidney Wins Eighth-Straight Thanks to Alek Doty

Alek Doty was instrumental in extending Sidney's winning streak to eight on Friday. Nobody could stop Doty as he rushed for 47 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 161 yards and two touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes.

Sidney pushed their record up to 8-0 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. Doty and Sidney will head out to square off against Chadron at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Quinn Bailey continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his 15th-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least 140 rushing yards. He rushed for 156 yards and a touchdown.

Gering had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Bailey it was a similar story. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Bailey saw the Bulldogs), he rushed for 245 yards and three touchdowns.

Ogallala's five-game losing streak is now nothing but a memory thanks in part to Kolby S Nowak. Chase County had no answer to S Nowak on Friday as he rushed for 47 yards and a touchdown.

S Nowak and Ogallala will head out on the road to square off against Alliance at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The last time S Nowak took on the Bulldogs, he rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown. Can he match (or beat) that performance?
