Softball Recap: High Point's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

High Point was the 3-0 winner over Vernon when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Wildcats couldn't push the score so high this time.

Having lost for the first time this season, High Point fell to 2-1. As for Vernon, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-4.

High Point wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 9-3 victory against Hackettstown on the 14th. As for Vernon, they have also already played their next game, a 4-0 win against North Warren Regional on the 14th.
