Recap: Olympian vs. Bonita Vista
Even though Olympian and Bonita Vista only combined for only zero shots on goal on Wednesday, they still managed to score five goals in total. Olympian narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Bonita Vista 3-2. That's two games straight that Olympian has won by exactly a single goal.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Alex Shepard and
Diego Valles, who scored.
The win makes it two in a row for Olympian and bumps their season record up to 11-4-5. As for Bonita Vista, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-3-3.
Olympian will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Montgomery at 6:00 p.m. Montgomery's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Bonita Vista, they will head out on the road to challenge Chula Vista at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Chula Vista and Bonita Vista are at an even 2-2-2 over their past six head-to-heads.
