Softball Game Preview: Monroe Vikings vs. North Hollywood Huskies

Monroe hasn't had much luck against North Hollywood recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Vikings will be playing at home against the Huskies at 2:00 p.m. Monroe has given up an average of 21 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Monroe came up short against Van Nuys on Wednesday, falling 21-4.

Meanwhile, in Friday's Canine Competition, North Hollywood came out on top. They blew past Van Nuys 11-1 on Friday. The Huskies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by eight runs or more this season.

North Hollywood got a massive performance out of Fisher Hinnen, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Leela Adams, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: North Hollywood kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

North Hollywood now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Monroe, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
