Recap: Woodmont Wildcats vs. Hillcrest Rams
The Woodmont Wildcats can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 45-27 victory over Hillcrest. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Woodmont also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Woodmont found their leader in underclassman Mattie Kellett, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and five steals. That's the first time this season that Kellett pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyana Pullman, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Woodmont's win bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Hillcrest, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.
Woodmont will head out on the road to challenge Travelers Rest at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hillcrest, they will be playing at home against T.L. Hanna at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully T.L. Hanna focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Friday.
