Baseball Recap: Presidio Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

While Presidio's win against Tornillo wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Blue Devils had just enough and edged out the Coyotes 5-4 on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 19-8 back in March.

Presidio's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-11. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Tornillo, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-17.

Coming up, Presidio is taking a road trip to square off against Kermit at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.81 runs per game on average), something the Blue Devils will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Tornillo, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Alpine at 4:00 p.m. The Bucks will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Coyotes surely won't give up without a fight.
