Severn School came tearing into Friday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They skirted past the Indian Creek Eagles 41-38. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Admirals have posted since February 13, 2024.

Severn School's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Madelyn Ripley, who posted five points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Amyah Heyliger, who put up 11 points and seven rebounds.

Severn School smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in five consecutive contests.

Severn School's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Indian Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5-1.

Severn School won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Old Mill at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Old Mill will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Severn School surely won't give up without a fight. As for Indian Creek, they will venture away from home to challenge Maryvale Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
