Softball Recap: Northridge Gets the Win

Northridge lost to Bexley back in March, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Vikings came out on top against the Lions by a score of 15-12. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Ellie Reese and Khloe Angus did most of the damage at the plate: Reese went 4-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Angus went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four hits gave Reese a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cheyann Severance, who went 1-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Northridge kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. They are 4-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Northridge's record now sits at 5-6. As for Bexley, with the defeat, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-2.

Northridge didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 18-0 loss against Johnstown-Monroe on the 13th. As for Bexley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 8-6 win against Millersport on the 11th.
