Preview: Holy Ground Baptist Academy vs. Hearts Academy

Holy Ground Baptist Academy (5-0) and Hearts Academy (3-4) go head to head this Friday at 7:30 PM. Holy Ground Baptist Academy has been tearing up the end zone with big points in its last four contests.

Holy Ground Baptist Academy can now show off four landslide victories after its game two weeks ago. It put the hurt on Lafayette Christian two weeks ago with a conclusive 70 - 20 victory. No one had a larger role in the success than junior Brady Yates, who brought his A game into the contest. He earned two touchdowns and 88 yards rushing the ball. This sound performance was nothing new for Yates, who has been a rock for Holy Ground Baptist Academy in the past four games. Junior Jackson Yates banked an additional two TDs for the team.

As for Hearts Academy, it lost to Cherokee Christian 58 - 44 two weeks ago. The defeat came about despite a quality game from senior Jordan Elliott, who ran for 114 yards and also punched in two touchdowns. Elliott has also now scored at least one touchdown in the past six consecutive games.

The last time they met, Holy Ground Baptist Academy was the 43 - 16 victor. It was able to move the ball a lot more (307 yards compared to 53 yards), a gap Hearts Academy will be looking to close this time around. Can Holy Ground Baptist Academy repeat its success? We'll find out this Friday.
