Recap: Collinsville Cardinals vs. Bishop Kelley Comets
The Collinsville Cardinals waltzed into Tuesday's match with two straight wins but they left with three. They blew past Bishop Kelley, posting a 82-51 victory at home. Fans of Collinsville have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Collinsville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aiden Anderson led the charge by going 7 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points and 3 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Anderson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Zac Brown, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds.
Collinsville's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.7 points per game. As for Bishop Kelley, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
Collinsville has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Crossover Prep at 7:30 p.m. on December 14th. Crossover Prep has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Bishop Kelley, they will head out on the road to face off against Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
