Basketball Game Preview: Putnam Clippers vs. Norwich RVT Warriors

The Putnam Clippers will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the Norwich RVT Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Putnam saw some tournament action on Saturday. They were beaten by Stafford 69-41.

Meanwhile, Norwich RVT had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Grasso Tech an easy 75-49 win. The Warriors were down 53-33 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Putnam will need focus on slowing down Josh Lodyko, one of several Norwich RVT players who made an impact when they last played. He went 6 of 11 on his way to 15 points and six rebounds. What's more, Lodyko also racked up two assists, the most he's had since back in January. Ryan Lillibridge was another key player, putting up nine points and seven rebounds.

Putnam didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Norwich RVT in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 48-43 victory.
