Baseball Game Preview: Calhoun Red Devils vs. Roane County Raiders

Calhoun is 1-9 against Roane County since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Red Devils will take on the Raiders at 5:00 p.m. Roane County took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Calhoun, who comes in off a win.

On Monday, Calhoun needed a bit of extra time to put away Braxton County. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 13-10. Surprisingly, this marked the Red Devils' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Roane County's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Buffalo by a score of 4-3.

C KINDER was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played.

Calhoun's victory bumped their record up to 7-13. As for Roane County, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.

Calhoun couldn't quite get it done against Roane County in their previous matchup back in March as they fell 7-3. Can the Red Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
