Basketball Recap: New Boston Takes a Loss

New Boston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They took a blow against the Liberty-Eylau Leopards, falling 74-44. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1163rd, while the Leopards are ranked 160th).

New Boston's loss dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Liberty-Eylau, the win keeps them at an undefeated 30-0.

New Boston will face off against Atlanta at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Atlanta knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 matchups -- so hopefully New Boston likes a good challenge. As for Liberty-Eylau, they will square off against Redwater at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
