Softball Recap: Bohemia Manor Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Bohemia Manor had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the North East Indians. Considering the Eagles have won five games by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Lyla Wescoat (2027) was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Camille Mattucci (2026) was incredible, going 2-for-4 with five RBI and one double. Gwen Ayers (2026) McDaniel was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Bohemia Manor pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for North East, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Bohemia Manor will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Indians: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
