Softball Recap: Litchfield Comes Up Short

Litchfield made up a huge gap compared to their last game against New London-Spicer, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Dragons wound up with the same score they had in their last game (4-2), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. They haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Litchfield saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Claire Holmgren, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Litchfield's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for New London-Spicer, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2.

Coming up, Litchfield will venture away from home to challenge Paynesville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for New London-Spicer, they will welcome Central at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
