Recap: Pueblo County Hornets vs. Discovery Canyon Thunder
The Pueblo County Hornets entered their tilt with the Discovery Canyon Thunder with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Pueblo County narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Discovery Canyon 38-36. This was payback for Pueblo County, who suffered a 56-52 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Among those leading the charge was Johnathan Gonzales, who scored 11 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals. The game was his third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Barger, who scored 10 points along with 6 rebounds.
Pueblo County's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Discovery Canyon, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.
Pueblo County will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Sand Creek at 3:00 p.m. on December 14th. Discovery Canyon is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Northfield at 3:30 p.m. on December 6th.
