Football Recap: Marietta Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Marietta's offense. They had to suffer through a 55-0 loss at the hands of the Washington Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma football rankings (they are ranked 237th, while the Warriors are ranked 23rd).

Marietta now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Washington, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Marietta is set to take on their familiar foe Dickson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Washington will face off against rival Little Axe at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
