Recap: Kongiganak Wolverines vs. Eek Cougars

The Kongiganak Wolverines's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight defeat. They fell just short of Eek by a score of 54-51. Kongiganak was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Eek apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Kongiganak lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jarrett Brown. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleb Beaver, who scored 11 points.

Kongiganak dropped their record down to 3-6 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Eek, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 1-4.

Kongiganak won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Kwigillingok at 12:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Kongiganak is facing Kwigillingok at the right time seeing as Kwigillingok is stuck on a eight-game losing streak. Eek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
