Softball Recap: Quincy's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Quincy had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. Everything went their way against the Williams Yellowjackets as they made off with a 17-1 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trojans also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2022.

Addison Gay was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Jemma Trueblood, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Quincy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .727. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Quincy's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-4. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for Williams, they are on a 29-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-18.

Quincy will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Yellowjackets: the pair will be back at it again later today.
