Volleyball Recap: Draughn Triumphs

Draughn won the last time they faced Freedom and things went their way on Monday too. The Wildcats walked away with a 3-1 win over the Patriots.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-16, 27-29, 25-21.

Bailey Mozeley paced Draughn's offense, picking up 12 kills. Mozeley got some help from Ashlyn Heavner and her 18 assists. Braylen Clontz controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Draughn's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Freedom, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Draughn will challenge South Caldwell at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Freedom, they will take on West Caldwell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
