Baseball Recap: Caliche Comes Up Short

Caliche lost to Merino on Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Buffaloes lost 20-2 to the Rams. The Buffaloes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Caliche's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Merino, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Caliche will be playing at home against Peetz at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Buffaloes' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season. As for Merino, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sedgwick County at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
