Recap: Front Range Christian Falcons vs. Belleview Christian Bruins
This season hasn't been kind to the Front Range Christian Falcons, who are still winless after their seventh game. They took a serious blow against Belleview Christian on Friday, falling 80-27. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Front Range Christian has scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Front Range Christian had strong showings from Zach Woo, who scored five points along with two steals, and Justin Keith, who scored six points. Woo has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played.
Belleview Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Garrett Owen, who scored 19 points along with three steals. Owen hasn't dropped below two steals for ten straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Ewing, who scored 13 points along with seven assists and six rebounds.
Front Range Christian's defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-7. As for Belleview Christian, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Front Range Christian will take on Denver Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Denver Christian is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games. As for Belleview Christian, they will be playing at home against Front Range Baptist at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Front Range Baptist and Belleview Christian are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
