Freedom won the last time they faced South Caldwell and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Freedom Patriots snuck past the South Caldwell Spartans with a 55-49 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.

Despite the loss, South Caldwell saw an underclassman step up: freshman Ava Anderson posted 28 points. That was a full 57.1% of South Caldwell's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kristin Barber, who put up 11 points.

Freedom is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for South Caldwell, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Freedom will host Ashe County at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for South Caldwell, they will square off against Alexander Central at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. South Caldwell is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.9 points per game this season.
