Baseball Recap: Santa Fe Takes a Loss

After flying high against Dunnellon last Tuesday, Santa Fe came back down to earth. The Santa Fe Raiders fell just short of the Keystone Heights Indians by a score of 10-8 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Raiders have suffered since April 9, 2024.

Nate Robertson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Beck, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Santa Fe's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Keystone Heights, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Looking ahead, Santa Fe will square off against Columbia at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Keystone Heights, they will face off against Bradford at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last four games Keystone Heights has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
