Volleyball Recap: Milton-Union Takes a Loss

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Milton-Union and Bethel had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Bulldogs lost 3-0 to the Bees on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Bees: they've now lost three in a row.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-18, 25-14.

Michaela Firks paced Milton-Union's offense, picking up 12 kills. Firks got some help from Marley Reed and her eight assists. Reed and Firks didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with two apiece.

Milton-Union's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Bethel, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-4.

Coming up, Milton-Union will venture away from home to challenge Shawnee at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Bethel, they have already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Tri-Village on the 4th.
