Basketball Recap: West Mecklenburg Comes Up Short

West Mecklenburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were dealt an 84-30 defeat at the hands of the West Charlotte Lions. The Hawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-14.

West Charlotte's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bri'Asia Rowe, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jonnae Bennett, who went 5 for 8 en route to 14 points along with seven assists and six steals.

West Mecklenburg's record now sits at 3-11. As for West Charlotte, their win bumped their record up to 12-5.

West Mecklenburg will look to defend their home court on Friday against Hough at 6:00 p.m. As for West Charlotte, they will head out to take on Hopewell at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. West Charlotte is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.1 points per game this season.
