Softball Recap: Temecula Valley Comes Up Short

Temecula Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 12-2 to the Great Oak Wolfpack. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolfpack this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-4 back in March.

Temecula Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery DePauw, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Temecula Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Great Oak, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7-1 record this season.

Great Oak will challenge San Marcos at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Temecula Valley will be paying especially close attention to the Wolfpack's matchup: after the Wolfpack face off against the Knights, they'll take on Temecula Valley again at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
