Basketball Recap: Riverton Falls Despite Big Games from Britnee Walker and Jordyn Durham

Riverton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 53-33 to the Olympia Spartans. The Hawks were probably out for revenge after losing 49-33 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Riverton's loss came despite strong showings from Jordyn Durham and Britnee Walker. Durham posted seven points and 11 boards, while Walker earned nine points. The dominant performance also gave Durham a new career-high in assists (three).

Even though they lost, Riverton was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matchups.

Riverton's record is now 2-20. As for Olympia, with the win, they broke their 12-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-19.

Riverton has already played their next game (against Williamsville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Olympia has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central.
