Basketball Recap: Howard Comes Up Short

Howard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Mt. Hebron Vikings, falling 74-48. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 71-50 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2025.

Howard's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Mt. Hebron, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Howard will face off against rival Oakland Mills at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Mt. Hebron is set to challenge their familiar foe Reservoir at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
