Baseball Recap: Pen Argyl Green Knights vs. Notre Dame-Green Pond Crusaders
Pen Argyl had lost three games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 10-6-1 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. Everything went their way against the Notre Dame-Green Pond Crusaders as they made off with a 13-7 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in April.

Cayden Vishnesky made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over 5.1 innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April. He was even better at the plate, going 3-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Pen Argyl's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 5-6-1 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Pen Argyl let Rocco DeCesare and Lucas Lerch run wild. DeCesare went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double, while Lerch went 2-for-4 with four runs and one triple. That's the most runs Lerch has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Haros, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.
