Basketball Recap: Hernando Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Hernando had won four straight home games and Fran Kelly did her part to make it five on Tuesday. The Hernando Tigers breezed by the North Panola Cougars to the tune of 68-37 thanks in part to Kelly, who almost dropped a double-double on 36 points and nine steals. That makes it ten consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Hernando's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Keristian Nevels, who posted six points and three steals. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (three).

Hernando's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for North Panola, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-4.

Hernando will head out on the road to challenge Lewisburg at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Hernando's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. As for North Panola, they will welcome Holly Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
