Football Game Preview: Severna Park Falcons vs. Severn Run Wolves

The Severna Park Falcons will venture away from home to challenge the Severn Run Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Severna Park has played have been within three points, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Severna Park took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They slipped by Crofton 28-27. The Falcons haven't had any issues with Crofton recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Severna Park can attribute much of their success to Cole Cavanaugh, who picked up 107 receiving yards and one score, and Graham Guenther, who gained 34 total yards and two touchdowns. That's the most receiving yards Cavanaugh has posted since back in September of 2024.

Meanwhile, Severn Run fell victim to Old Mill and their airtight defense on Friday. They had to suffer through a 35-0 loss at the hands of the Patriots. That's two games in a row now that the Wolves have lost by exactly 35 points.

Severna Park's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Severn Run, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Everything came up roses for Severna Park against Severn Run in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 35-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
