Softball Recap: Tri-County RVT Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Tri-County RVT proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by six) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Assabet Valley RVT Aztecs 5-3. The Cougars' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

The team relied heavily on Mackenzie Duffy, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Duffy is crushing it when it comes to home runs: she's launched at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Ava Gemelli was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Tri-County RVT's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Assabet Valley RVT, their loss dropped their record down to 2-3.

Tri-County RVT wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 15-3 victory against Old Colony RVT on the 13th. As for Assabet Valley RVT, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-6 win against Sutton/Douglas on the 13th.
