Basketball Recap: Flanagan/Woodland Takes a Loss

Flanagan/Woodland lost against LeRoy back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Flanagan/Woodland Falcons lost 53-32 to the LeRoy Panthers. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Flanagan/Woodland still got an impressive performance from Ella Derossett, who posted 11 points. Derossett is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Emma Palaschak, who put up 11 points.

Flanagan/Woodland's loss dropped their record down to 9-20. As for LeRoy, their win bumped their record up to 17-13.

Looking ahead, Flanagan/Woodland will welcome Calvary Christian Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Calvary Christian Academy's defense has only allowed 29.8 points per game this season, so Flanagan/Woodland's offense will have their work cut out for them. LeRoy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
