Softball Recap: Astoria Fishermen vs. La Grande Tigers
It's playoff time, and Astoria had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the La Grande Tigers by a score of 9-4 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Fishermen.

Maddie Wilkin made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, Aryana Adams was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May. Kya Lindell was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
Astoria's win bumped their record up to 23-6-1. As for La Grande, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 25-2 record.
