Basketball Recap: Eastside Lions vs. Knight Hawks
Eastside lost against Knight back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Eastside Lions were dealt an 81-47 loss at the hands of the Knight Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 554th, while the Hawks are ranked 183rd).

Eastside's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was King Davis, who posted 12 points and six boards. That's the most rebounds Davis has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Wydell James, who earned seven points and five boards.
Eastside has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 15-13 record this season. As for Knight, their win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-5.
Eastside does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Knight, they will take on Arcadia at 7:00 p.m. on February 12th.
