Baseball Recap: High Point Academy Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for High Point Academy's offense. They came up short against the Landrum Cardinals on Wednesday, falling 15-0. The Grizzlies just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

High Point Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10-1. As for Landrum, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. High Point Academy will host Blacksburg at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Landrum, they will take on Polk County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolverines will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Cardinals surely won't give up without a fight.
