Paramus posted their closest win since April 26, 2024 on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over the Westwood Cardinals. For the Spartans, this counts as revenge for the 7-3 win the Cardinals walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2023.

Paramus' victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-1. As for Westwood, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Paramus will venture away from home to square off against Paramus Catholic at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Paladins' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Spartans' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Westwood, they are taking a road trip to face off against Ramsey at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
